Tari's Visit before Thanksgiving!
My friend Tari and her daughter Shelby came up to visit for four days from California to visit this last week. We had some real fun Girlfriend time to catch up. And of course I nonstop painted on project all up to the time she came so I got quite a bit done and lots of Teachers conferences as usual this time a year. She came up for the Party lite 2009 Product showing at the Red Lion so of course we all went to that, but we also had a spa night and a movie night! Tari, Susie, Robyn, Georgeanne and Kelly all were there. SO fun!
We all crashed Louisa's Sensaria party in PJ's (see Tari's bright green frog PJ'S)
Then Sadly Tari had to leave at 4 am in the morning Tuesday morning. She was flying stand by and apparently the later flights had really filled up. I turned and asked her if she liked light or dark meat. She laughed but I'm sure her husband back in California wasn't laughing!!
After she left early that Tuesday I then started painting again for two days solid Tuesday and Wed to re due my clock on the ceiling. The orientation of the number bugged me so Ipainted over them and started again the the numbers going another way. I decided I'll Post pictures of the clock after I'm done! But Boy I feel like I've done two clocks at this rate.
Carle and I have been working very hard around the house. Carle then put in our new Microwave steamer and convection oven! I wanted to cook Bacon in it but he would let me. Go figure!!! Her is a quick picture of my new appliance.
It's so nice because it matches my new refrigerater.

Quiet Thanksgiving! Time to reflect on our blessings
We had a nice quiet thanksgiving this year! Our friends the De long's and their girls came over for Thanks Giving dinner and then, after filling up on turkey and mash potatoes we all went with to the movies. The boys saw "BOLT" and the older girls saw "Twilight" and the four adults saw the new James Bond movie "Quantum Solis". Everyone was happy with their Movies and then we went home to have some Pumpkin Pie!
No Shopping for me on Black Friday! Just some much needed rest!!
I'm behind on updating so I'll update my blog with all that events of the past few weeks shortly.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanks Giving! May all of your tummies and your hearts be full on this day!

Deadlines
Well I sent out my 2008 Katesridge Cookie Exchange invite. If you didn't get the e-mail and want to attend reply back to me and I'll send you an invite. It's on Thur. Dec 18th and I can't wait! It's always a fun event to plan and attend!!
But right after I sent the invitation I realized that this was a perfect opportunity to show off some of my murals in my house! Then I thought "What Murals in my house?"
So I've now got five weeks to freshen up my paint in my house and paint some murals. I can't paint on old paint! I have three in mind. Actually 4 but I'm not going to do the 4th one till later. One is a Big giant Face of Big Ben on my Family room ceiling. (not Christina's Ben, But London Ben) Sorry Ben, but I think that would be kind of creepy having you stare down at us sitting in our Starbucks Chairs.
SO.... in order to do the clock face I most definintly need to paint my never ending ceiling. If I start in the family room I have to keep going all thru the down stairs. It needs to be done anyway. So realizing this this morning, on impulse I ordered some ceiling paint from MV paints this morning and finished all the cielings except for my very small small formal living room. That will be a snap to finish tomorrow.
I think I'm going to have to repaint the whole down stairs walls to make it look the way I want it to look. The other two murals will be; Oliver sitting near a wall downstairs and the other a inset shelf with a topiary in it going up the stairs.
I better get hopping I have a Cookie Exchange DEADLINE and that only ends up being five weeks away. And I promise Chris and Carol. I'm going to get over to your house some time in the next week. PROMISE

The Big Monster Bash!!!

Wow we had another awesome Halloween night! Last years was amazing and this one rivaled last years. No rain perfect temp and fun fun fun!
There were crowds of kids in the intersection. This picture doesn't represent it very well because most of the night kids were lined up all the way to the side walk from my front door so many, so many!! After a while we just took our wine and sat on the wicker chairs and handed out candy that way. The intersection was packed with kids going every-which-way none of my pictures turned out of that because it was so dark. We went threw three huge Costco bags of candy! Our neighborhood is the place to be!
Carol, Liz,Christina,me,Chris,Lori,Emily and Jill!
My Favorite Moms!! Aren't they cute!

Pumkin Carving!
Our pumpkin carving night! (Thursday before Halloween) A big thanks to Carle. He took on helping all four kids with their pumpkins. What a great Husband. He even cleaned the seeds to be roasted. And I disappeared on him to take the neighbor to the emergency room. So he got all the fun! (my neighbors fine just a migraine. Wouldn't you if you had triplets)
This is my quick picture before I ran out the door at 5:30. Didn't come home till 1:30 am
Jonathan's last minute shaving want to make sure it glows just right!

Tagged what does that mean??
Okay.... Christina Tagged me a while ago with a game called 4X4. Which means You have to post a picture you find in your picture files. This has to be from your fourth file and fourth picture in that file.
Well ....This is it. This years 2008 Fourth of July parade and potluck (the behind the scenes picture), in it is Me (yucky picture, but I play by the rules) and Jonathan, Emily and Lorrena Delong and maybe even Susie Delong behind her after the parade getting set up for the potluck. Chris Glassner is in the back getting the BQ ready to cook. I curse who ever picked up my camera and took this picture. Carle????
now I tag anyone who hasn't been tagged yet and reads this regularly.
