Our Amazing Athelete

I have to say this fall has been an amazing journey watching Emily grow as a Athlete!
She has worked hard to be a competitive Fastpitch Pitcher. Within the Fastpitch arena word has spread of her accomplishments and her amazing technique, speed and accuracy. She is now throwing a average 56 Mile-an-hour Fast Ball (high school speeds) and has a offspeed and riser pitch to be reckoned with as well.

We are so proud of her. She has tried out for several teams and all of them have wanted her on their team. We have actually been getting calls from these coaches wondering if we have decided on a team yet and re-interated that they would really like to have her on their team.

It's quite a different place to be in than last year when we were trying out and just hoping for a good try out. This year Emily has been able to literally pick the team she wanted.

One of the try outs for a spot on the "A" squad for the Acer's. Actually we thought it would be great experience for her to try out didn't expect her to make the team because they were stacking the team with 94 girls and Emily is a 95 obviously to young. But low and behold we did get the call and they did indeed want her as their pitcher. Kudos to Emily, she's proving to be a pitcher to be reckoned with. This Acer's squad is a select A team, which is highly competitive and does a lot of traveling and tournaments. Huge commitment. Emily was thrilled to be a Acer. The Acer's organization is quite known for there high quality players and competitiveness.

Unfortunately the squad fell apart before they could get started with not enough skillful girls to fill the team so they had to disband that team. Emily was crushed. But we still have several other "B" squads with other organizations we are looking at. We are still in the decision phase on picking a tournament team. We will keep you posted on what team she ends up joining. Mean while she is on her Junior High School team and I will post the schedule pretty quickly here.

So....... stay tune.
